Chirpio API Released

What good would all these ratings be if nobody else can use them right? We released our API for those of you out there that are interested in using the data we’re collecting. We hope our time wasn’t wasted and some good apps out there use it. Here are some ideas that something like a Twitter client could do:

- Get ratings for users & display spammers and people with low scores differently. I think this would be a great idea if something like Seesmic could get a user’s rating and hide users with low scores. Of course making this configurable would be ideal.

- Let users set a true rating for a Twitter user instead of sending a message to @spam where you have no idea if Twitter will do anything about it. Have spammers disappear from feeds and we’ll maintain all the data!

Anyway you get the idea … here’s the documentation if you’re interested: http://api.chirpio.com

Let us know if there are any problems or if you’re using it! We’d love to hear from your experiences as well as continue to add features you need!
